Colleagues -
Chapman University is recruiting for two (2) positions in our Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) office. EH&S reports to me in my position as Director of Risk Management. It's in the mid 70's here in Orange, CA this month! Great place to be!
One position is for an EH&S Specialist. This is a generalist position and we are looking for someone with a Bachelors of Science degree plus at least 3-years' experience in environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, industrial safety, occupational health and safety or other appropriate and related field of study. The full posting can be found by clicking on this link.

This person will oversee the safety and compliance of our Rinker Health Science Campus (RHSC) with an emphasis on research and teaching laboratories, and will
serve as the primary safety officer and liaison for the Campus on University safety committees, and provide technical expertise and support to faculty and administrators seeking grants and funding as it relates to compliance and safety.
This position requires a PhD in Biology,
Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, Environmental Engineering, or any science discipline with a lab-based educational and/or research component is essential.
A minimum of 3 years' experience related to the development and implementation of chemical hygiene plans, standard operating procedures, hazardous waste collection and disposal, or other environmental health and safety issues related to science research and teaching labs.
